Emergency Plans

Sunday (3/20) we evacuated our Pasture Lease due to a brushfire. The bushfire ultimately came within 400 feet of our pasture but our pasture was spared.

In the event of a fire our plan is to head next door to Starr Valley, where we currently have 2 horses on stall rest. Once there we go with them based on their evacuation plans, which can vary depending on the wind direction.

During a flood our horses are in a very safe spot with excellent drain flow, so they will shelter in place, just like they did in May of 2019
