What’s your BHAG?

Big Hairy Audacious Goal

For us here at Dragon Stables it is to comfortably provide a safe sanctuary to the horses that the public has entrusted in our care. This means raising enough funds to allow ourselves to expand, it costs an estimated $350 a month ($4,200/year) to comfortably care for a horse in our care, and that doesn’t include an emergency Veterinary bill.

Breakdown of how the $350/month is spent on each horse.

We currently support 5 horses in our care in addition to the Hay Barn and Feed Fund. This amount $21,000 is our 2022 BHAG
(Big Hairy Audacious Goal) for every $4,200 raised it provides a comfortable safety net in the sanctuary for a full year. For every $5,000 raised it opens up another spot in our program to help another horse in need of a soft landing. Horses are perhaps one of the most overlooked animals that rely on humans for their daily needs.

In American culture, the horse holds a special place in people’s hearts. It’s often seen as a symbol of freedom and the wild frontier of the west. Unfortunately, in the U.S., many horses are unwanted and are in need of homes.
