Over the past several days, we’ve been exploring every possible option to keep Dragon Stables Equine Center where we are—including the possibility of purchasing the property.

Unfortunately, after speaking with lenders, we’ve learned that we’re currently approved for a loan of up to $175,000.

We also reviewed recent property sales in our area, with realtors. In the past year, the only comparable improved 10-acre properties sold for $675,000 and $750,000. The only 20-acre properties that sold in the $200,000–250,000 range were vacant land that would require a complete build-out with utilities, fencing, shelters, and other infrastructure.

Based on what we know today, purchasing our current home simply isn’t financially possible.

As heartbreaking as that is to say, our focus now has to shift toward finding a new place where our rescued horses can continue to heal, recover, and thrive.

We’re looking for a property with:
🐴 At least 15 acres
🐴 Existing perimeter fencing
🐴 Room to add cross-fencing and shelters
🐴 Preferably within the Stillwater, Oklahoma area
